Thinking big or shrinking your dreams?

What do you really want? Often when I ask that question to my clients, I get very reasonable answers. Answers based more on what they think "should" be enough, answers that sound and look reasonable.

Reality is that most of us were brought up by people who themselves had their wings clipped young. So when at age 5 you said you were going to be a doctor, or a prime minister or an astronaut, chances are, your parents tried to make you understand that this was cute, but not very realistic.

What is your dream? Imagine you are about 4 years old. What would you want to be and do when you grow up? Let yourself dream. Don't let age or education stand in the way. Just dream. Then take the first step to move toward that dream, because it's the process that counts. Have fun along the way. There are no guarantees anyway.
